Power Tool Battery
The power tool battery is one of the greatest inventions of our time, allowing lengthy periods of
use for cordless power tools without the need to plug them in and having to worry about the hassle of a cord
getting in the way when you are busy using it.
There are many different types of power tool battery available, each with their own advantages and
specifications, but there are some general things to think about when you want to get the best out of them that you
can. One of these methods is to keep your power tool battery clean by cleaning the contacts with some cotton and
alcohol, which ensures optimal connection between your power tool battery and the tool itself.
You also need to remember that most batteries have a self-discharging effect and you need to charge
them fully when first using them or when you have not used them for extended periods of time and take them out of
storage. When storing them, you also need to ensure that you store them in an appropriate storage space away from
metal things and in a cool place that is clean and dry, and that will not be exposed to any heat while the battery
is being stored there.
If you have any power tool battery type besides a lithium ion battery, you will also need to fully
charge and then completely use up all the power in the battery to keep it healthy – you need to do this at least
twice a month to maintain optimum power tool
battery health.
One other thing that seems to have a rather destructive force on batteries is when they have been
left unused for extended periods of time. Here, again, the battery should be used at least on three occasions
within a month in order to prevent this from happening and ensure optimum battery health and performance.
